Craig Zulian is a distinguished surf lifesaver from the Illawarra region. Recognized extensively for his multiple rescue efforts in saving countless lives at national levels. He has held various awards (including lifesaver of the year numerous times) and was one of Surf lifesavings founding RWC (Jet Ski) operator / trainer. He has also played a crucial role in the testing of various PPE (personal protective equipment) within Australian surf lifesaving.

Craig zulian has a rich water safety resume. He has over 34 yrs. experience with water safety starting as a young nipper and moving through to becoming well regarded within the media circles for his skill and knowledge of marine filming behind jet skis.

Rescues which have been noted as completed under extreme conditions include: battery point- father, son, and three of the sons friends rescued in large surf of the rocks at battery point Port Kembla by craig on a RWC. Skydive the beach -parachutes in surf, tangled around those rescued and fairy meadow teen rescued at night with no lights under no moonlight, however craig has been involved in countless search and rescue as a first responder within the region joining local emergency services and devoting his own time in the early hours of morning, during day and late at night in order to save the lives of others.

Craig’s devotion to the safety and aquatic services stems from his rich upbringing within Towradgi Surf lifesaving club starting at the tender age of 6. As a young 6-year-old nipper Craig was guided through the surf sports, mechanics and safety operations of the surf life. Gaining his Surf Rescue Certificate, Bronze medallion and various tittles including: Australian Inflatable rescue boat and surf ski titles.
